Comments on the recitation

  1. It was very bland. The TA would go over the steps, and we had to follow them precisely and blindly, and that was all there was to do.

  2. Tejas was an excellent TA, perhaps the best I have come across in any department or course I have taken in my time at Cornell to date. He is kind, knowledgeable, and more than willing to help students understand difficult material without coming close to "spoonfeeding" or favoring the interests of students to any unfair extent as I have seen at times in other courses /departments of the University. I also noticed that any time I would email him with a question about a topic or administrative details of the course, his average response time to my emails (some of which were sent well outside of standard business hours) was quite literally three minutes.

  3. Tejas Ramdas makes the labs extremely applicable to the lecture. He repeats key concepts which is beyond helpful and makes sure that everyone understands before proceeding. Something else that is really useful is that he clarifies where one COULD get confused and makes sure to clear that up before we fall into that pit.

  4. TA Ramdas was passionate about the subject and made the labs engaging.

  5. TA Tejas Ramdas led a really great and helpful discussion section. He was so willing to offer help and advice, was kind, and truly listened to the student's needs in the class. He always made himself available for questions and always stopped to make sure that us (the students) were understanding the material being taught.

  6. Tejas is the man.

Would you recommend this teaching assistant?

  1. He was helpful, so I guess so, but the way things worked was not productive.

  2. I could not reccomend Tejas more highly. An absolutely terrific TA in every sense in my opinion.

Comments on the recitation

  1. Ramdas was very kind and I really liked the computer labs.

  2. Tejas was very organized, and kept things moving. He seemed to have a hard time getting us students to really speak up and talk, but I wouldn't fault him too much for that. I think the online setting makes it much more challenging.

  3. The recitation labs were very helpful and interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed the labs. The labs taught me a lot about the concepts.

  4. very good at teaching and taught at the pace that was helpful to students

  5. I liked that the recitations followed the computer lab assignments. This was helpful because I had never used the JMP software before this course, and sometimes needed to see how a process would happen in the software. It was also helpful that we discussed some of the questions for the lab. It helped me to feel more confident that I was thinking about the questions correctly. This helped me to not be so worried about the questions we did not discuss. Finally, I appreciated that the recitations were recorded because I could go back and watch it as needed.

  6. Labs were easy and simple to follow along for. It was interesting to see how statistics can be applied to real world situations.

  7. Labs were never too difficult and I appreciate that we went through them in class.

  7. I would highly recommend this TA to another student. He knew the material extremely well and explained the labs in a very easy way to understand.
